And the color is Tangerine for the Asheville Area Arts Council’s annual fundraiser

The Asheville Area Arts Council announced the color for its big annual fundraiser Monday night at a party at its HQ in the River Arts District. The color – tangerine.

The event, known as a signature event on Asheville’s social scene, died off four years ago when the economy tanked. It was revived last year and recast as an event focused more on the arts and artists. Last year’s color was turquoise, and it was held primarily at The Orange Peel, while other venues hosted pre- and post-parties. Last year’s event included a talent showcase, a fashion show, live music, live art and an art installation.
