Asheville gas prices drop below $3 a gallon

Gas prices have been dropping steadily over the past couple of weeks. Experts cite the sluggish global economy for a drop in demand for oil, which is being reflected in gas prices.

GasBuddy.com shows Asheville stations have gasoline ranging from $3.49 a gallon to $2.99 a gallon at The Spot on Sweeten Creek Road.
