Rock 105.9 The Mountain Miller Lite Rock Girls

Press release here:

After months of preparation and campaigning, one local woman will be crowned the first ever Mountain Rock Girl in front of hundreds on Friday, December 3rd at the Orange Peel in Asheville.

Twelve local women were selected earlier this year at casting calls in Asheville and Hendersonville. The ladies have appeared in the Miler Lite Rock Girl calendar and have made appearances at various events this fall. Now, they are vying to become the face of 105.9 The Mountain as the 2011 Mountain Rock Girl.

The Mountain Rock Girl pageant is sure to be the biggest rock ‘n roll beauty pageant in Western North Carolina and the Orange Peel is expected to reach capacity. Adding to the excitement of the event, nationally syndicated morning show hosts, Lex and Terry, will make their first appearance in Asheville to help 105.9 The Mountain and Alan’s Jewelry and Pawn crown the inaugural Rock Girl.

The winner will represent the radio station as a spokes model in 2011 and be awarded $1,000 in cash, various beauty treatments, jewelry, and other prizes. Photos, biographies, and videos of the twelve contestants can be found at www.1059themountain.com.

The Mountain Rock Girl Pageant will be in the spirit of Miss USA beauty pageants. Doors open at 6:30pm. As part of the pageant, Lex and Terry will sign autographs to the first people to attend. The twelve women will then compete in a swimsuit competition, a question and answer session hosted by Lex and Terry, and a formal wear competition. More information on the Lex and Terry morning show can be found at www.lexandterry.com.

Admission to the Mountain Rock Girl Pageant at The Orange Peel on December 3rd is free, but a ticket is required. Over 4000 tickets have been distributed and the last tickets are only available at various ticket stops which can be found at www.1059themountain.com.
