The Asheville Tourists have set three separate Scout Night dates for the 2009 season. Boy Scouts will have the opportunity to catch a game and camp out on the field on May 16th against the Augusta GreenJackets and August 15th versus the Kannapolis Intimidators. The Girl Scouts will be honored and have festivities during the April 26th Sunday afternoon game against the Greenville Drive.

Scouts and their friends and family are required to pre-register. Registration will be open up until two days before each event. The registration fee is $10 per scout and includes:

– One Ticket to that night’s game and a public address recognition of your troop.

– One official Asheville Tourists scout patch, one meal voucher including a hot dog, drink and a bag of chips

– Camp out on field, movie and activities following the game (Boy Scouts only).

-One Bojangles coupon for breakfast the next morning. (Boy Scouts only)

“Scout night is something we look forward to each year,” Scout Coordinator Jason Kane stated. “It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy a game, camp out on the field and be part of the team. We are hoping to make this season even bigger and better than last.”

For more information or to register, contact Jason Kane at the Tourists front office for Boy Scout night or Jodee Ciszewski for Girl Scout day. There are currently 32 days until the Tourists home opener at McCormick Field on April 13th. Tickets, min-plans and advertising can be purchased by calling the team at 828-258-0428.
