Charlotte Observer brief mention here. The Asheville Citizen-Times had the story earlier this week.

Biltmore expansion planned

A Charlotte-headquartered general contractor will build an $18.6 million attraction at Asheville’s Biltmore Estate.

PCL Construction Services Inc. plans to complete a pedestrian-friendly village between the Biltmore Winery and River Bend Farm on the Biltmore grounds by spring 2010.

Antler Hill Village will include exhibition space, a village with live entertainment, dining, shopping and an outdoor adventure center.

As part of the project, the winery will be enhanced with new tour and tasting areas.

PCL has a specialized division that manages attraction-based construction. Its clients include SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Disney.
