Former president Bill Clinton will be in Boone on Tuesday for a fund-raising event and a couple of public appearances, including a stop at Appalachian State University. The Clintons are really working the mountains.

The Watauga Democrat has the story:

Former President Bill Clinton will make a public appearance in Boone on Tuesday following a private fundraiser in Blowing Rock.

Clinton will attend a luncheon at Westglow Spa in Blowing Rock Tuesday, followed by an afternoon visit to the Appalachian State University campus.

The luncheon is private, with no media access, and tickets for the luncheon are $500.

The event will raise campaign contributions for Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Details for the ASU visit are still being finalized but it is currently planned as a rally for Hillary Clinton’s “Solutions for America” campaign and is sponsored by the Student Government Association.
