Carolina Public Press brings Elliston aboard to lead investigative reporting

Western North Carolina’s journalism nonprofit organization, Carolina Public Press, has hired former Mountain Xpress editor. Here’s what Elliston says on Facebook:

I’m excited and honored to take on expanded work at CarolinaPublicPress.org, where I’m the new investigations and open government editor. Stay tuned to what this great bunch of independent journalists has to offer.
