This really sucks. Press release:

On January 15, Windows on the Park, a special event and meeting space in the heart of downtown Asheville, officially closed. The decision was difficult and made as to be acted upon rather expeditiously with the intention to cause as little damage as possible to each party involved.

All clients and their event planners have been apprised of the closure. All have been offered a full dollar for dollar credit on their deposits toward food and service provided by The Colorful Palate,  which always catered for the clients of Windows on the Park and have a solid eight year reputation within the industry. Clients have each been given at least two alternate venues to consider, whose availability on their event date has already been verified by the owners of Windows on the Park. The owners have also made themselves available to these clients to help them through the process of moving their event’s location.

The owners wish to thank all of those businesses and individuals within the greater Asheville area who have supported Windows on the Park these last four years, along with each bride and groom who trusted them with hosting an event during their nuptial celebrations.

Special thanks is due to all those directly affected by the closing who have been so supportive and understanding with regards to the relocation of their 2010 events.

That’s a real shame – good luck Tara, Regan & Sarai in all your future endeavors!

The folks who owned it were so generous and involved in the community I hate that this happened to them. Thank you for your past gifts to RiverLink and lots of other organizations. Thanks again. Karen

Those Girls had an awesome place plagued by various external influences beyond their control. I wish each of them best as they continue to pursue their passions.

I think that place is jinxed …. the "Grape Escape" didn’t last a year there (or was it longer), now this ….. maybe a GOOD NY style Deli would be just the thing for the space….
