Goodbye, Doc. Enjoy those uncloudy days
Here are a few photos I shot of Doc Watson over the years of attending Merlefest. The Saturday morning show Doc did every year at the festival was always the best, in my mind. More intimate. More of a feeling of Doc taking you to church with his music. The beauty of his music on those mornings made me cry. Every time.

Jason, you might want to re-post these pictures . . . they’re so enormous that the blog format is only displaying a small slice of each one, and you can’t actually see Doc (or more of him than his hand, anyway) in any of them.
