Jobbitz.com, an Asheville-based business, is blowing up. Press release here:

Jobbitz.com is Asheville’s fairly new, locally created website, designed to connect people who have immediate “help-wanted” needs with people who need or want to earn extra cash.  In it’s first 3 months, over 400 local odd jobs have been posted, equalling a conservative $40,000 that has exchanged hands thus far.

Due to the ongoing success of this community and service-spirited website, Jobbitz.com is excited to announce a new Local Coupon’s and Special’s section, as well as a Service Provider/Business Directory.  Our goal is to host all available local coupons, so that our citizens can rely on one local website presence for all of their coupon needs (be green).  In order to jumpstart this initiative, Jobbitz.com is offering an opportunity for all local businesses to post unlimited coupons to the website for 8 weeks free of charge (No Strings).

We are also listing all local specials (ie. Where kids eat free, etc.) in our Weekly Specials category.  If you are a local business with specials to share, please contact [email protected] and we will share your specials with the community (at no cost to you).

If you are a local service provider or business, we are providing a cost-effective venue in which to advertise your business and/or service in our directory.

For additional information on Jobbitz.com, contact Anna Warren at 777-6540 or visit www.jobbitz.com.  Specific advertising details can be viewed at the website under “Advertise With Us” or http://jobbitz.com/advertisements.php
ABOUT Jobbitz.com – Jobbitz.com was launched in May 2009.  It was created to serve as a platform for connecting “odd jobs” with individuals who need or want the extra income.  The platform has been extended to include other consumer-advocate topics, such as local coupons and specials, as well as providing local service providers with an effective way to advertise.

Jobbitz is a wonderful creation! We are relatively new to the area and this has been great to find local, quality people that are ready to work. We have had our home painted, found weekly home cleaning help, and even pants hemmed through Jobbitz! All of the work has been done by quality, trustworthy people. Thank you to Anna and Jobbitz!
