Someone told me the woman rented the house and is a single mother. Her and her two children lost most everything.
A lot of people don’t have home insurance. It’s expensive, and many can’t afford it, especially if the house was inherited or bought up front (you don’t need insurance to own a home. You do normally need it for the LOAN to get a home, but when you inherit or buy it outright, you don’t have to get it.)
That trip to Charlotte shouldn’t be a problem. She actually lives there and just makes the trip in on the weekend to the do the weather.
I think Lisa IS from Charlotte. She might actually still be living there since she’s only a freelancer until they find someone willing to take that weekend job that’s still in the job listings online.
Part of the problem is the lighting in the studio, anytime you have flat lighting, you are going to see all the problems.
I hate to bust on a sister, but the weather girl needs some major aesthetic assistance.
It’s so hard for black women to find good, blush, foundation and concealers that match our skin tones, but I would HIGHLY recommend that she look into Bare Escentuals "Mineral Veil" to hold back the shininess on her face, and especially her forehead. And get your foundation custom mixed at a Prescriptives counter. They can do a perfect match for all women, right there while you wait. Same with lipstick/lip gloss. No funky orange or blue undertones for dark skin. It makes us look ashy and clownlike. (Darcel’s blush, for example, is ALL WRONG. It’s too purple and isn’t even blended into her skin well. It’s horrible. You need a spicier, deeper red, Darcel. That blush is not your friend.)
Also, the weather woman’s hair game is wack. It’s too stringy and oily looking.
I have no idea whether Sinclair forces some kind of Anglo agenda on how women have to look (i.e., no natural hair or braids; You never see someone with hair like mine — no chemicals, no weaves — on the news, unless she’s bi-racial) but girl needs to AT LEAST get a volumizer or texturizer in there.
Take a day trip to some folk in Charlotte or a weekend in Atlanta if you need to get that hair together, sister.
I’m not giving up on you yet — but nobody’s
listening to your weather report because the makeup and hair games are broke right now. You can do it, girl! And you have GOT to do SOMEthing!
Scarlett, the weather-guesser IS a Bratz doll. she is rather hideous. i’m sorry, but they need to do something about her.
I lurk here all the time. You are a role model to me. When I saw the Le story, I told my darhling about you finally (she is not a blogger), and laughed wondering how you would spin it. I lead a sad life, indeed.
What do you think about the new weather person that was on tonight? Is she really a Bratz doll in disquise?? Curious minds like ours want to know.
news said she disappeared after fourth period on friday and that she’s not the type of kid not to tell her "guardians" where she was. the terminology the tv news folks uses was "guaradians," not parents.
An AV high student went missing? Like disappearred, ran away, what?
