James Franco’’s film, ““The Garden of Last Days,”” will be shot in the Winston-Salem area from July 10 through Aug. 6, and a local casting agency is seeking actors to fill roles.

The open casting call will be held from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Altair Casting & Production Services, 703 Coliseum Plaza Court, behind the old Talbots and across from La Carretta restaurant.

According to the Internet Movie Database, the movie is based on a novel by Andre Dubus III, which tells the interweaving stories of several people in Florida in the days before the Sept. 11 attacks.

Altair’’s casting notice said that it is looking for all ages and types, including a broad range of ethnically distinct individuals and Arabic-speaking individuals.

The Garden of Last Days will star Emilia Clarke, a star of HBO’s Game of Thrones:

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is set in a Florida strip club and follows three damaged characters whose storylines intersect on one fateful night. Clarke’s role will be that of a stripper who brings her three-year-old daughter to work on the evening of the film’s events. The film is planning to begin production in July.
