Bit early to call it a hit, don’t you think? Every new place gets a crowd the first couple of weeks. Give it six months and we’ll see if it’s still “a hit.” I haven’t been by so I have no opinion as of yet, just saying let’s not get carried away here.
We went Friday night and it was mobbed! Saturday night it was the same story. We sat and watched the scene for 4 hours, ate and drank plenty. Everything was perfect. These guys are going to do great!
We popped in for a pint on Saturday night. Bathrooms a bit small for such a large space, but service was great. We didn’t eat, but the food looked great, and the kitchen was bustling. The beer (we had the Brown) was solid. This place combined with WXYZ Lounge and Barley’s has really brought new life to the South end of Downtown Asheville, especially on Orange Peel show nights.
We went on Friday night. I tried the tyranny red and Zealot IPA, both were very good. I was with a group of beer officinados who concurred. Hopefully the crowd will die down a bit, as it was slightly claustrophobic. I had a salad that was good, albeit overpriced. It has a more”upscale” feel (plus they serve liquor) so I have a feeling it will turn a bit yuppy….hopefully not meat-marcket-esque
Dave Herrington!! You look great! I can’t wait to come visit!
