Rocky’s Hot Chicken Shack now shooting for July 1 opening

Reminded by loyal readers to check back up on the impending opening of Rocky’s Hot Chicken Shack, I called up Rocky for the update. He says he’s days away from getting his certificate of occupancy and has everything else pretty much in place for a July 1 opening. There will be small, private events leading up to that date.

Rocky says he’s expanded his offerings of side orders to include seven or eight soul food sides, a la 12 Bones, with the fried chicken remaining exactly the same. He’ll have a handful of local beers.

I shot the photo above a few weeks back. Rocky has a new sign up now.
