From Facebook:

Twice a year, every second weekend in June and November, Asheville’s River Arts District Artists open their studios to the public for two days of festivities known as the STUDIO STROLL.

Visit more than 120 working artist studios and galleries in Asheville’s River Arts District. Painters, potters, sculptors, weavers, photographers, jewelers, woodworkers, great food & more……all in revitalized old factories and warehouses along the French Broad River, just minutes from downtown.

Open from 10am to 6 PM both Saturday & Sunday!

Ride free on the Asheville Historic Trolley between Studio Buildings

Stop trying so hard would be a better idea, you hear so much about this art district and when you see it, the place really doesnt live up to the hype. The word overrated comes to mind.

Next year, I would suggest that River Arts District tour and the Toe River Arts tour please coordinate so that they aren’t on the same weekend. This year we chose the Toe River tour — some of the artists there said that attendance from Asheville folks was down due to the competition.
