The new R & H guy is terrible. Not hot at all. The sweater vest I saw was really the tackiest part. I mean come on: a rug company with a sweater vest contrast?

You forgot the Tragically Hip. This loyal Ashevegas reader is intensley interested for the Tragically Hip who are opening for the Who in several cities this year. Big mistake by the Who. Why would anyone stick around to see those octogenarians aftery Gordon Downie has ripped their hearts out?

    I hear he’s nice-looking in a bland, Anderson Cooper-ish kind of way.

A dude?! Is he nice looking?? It might mean something for *me* to enjoy about R&H commercials for a change. Well, when we get to see R&H commercials again. Someday…

    Jamie (sob) ……

THAT’S what I miss about WLOS! The Rug & Home spots featuring Jamie. Were there new ones last weekend?

Two Henderson County politicos reponded to my e-mails requesting their help regarding the Sinclair/Mediacom quagmire. They’ve both written letters to the parties but they really have no clout in this dispute. My letter to the Chief of the Media Bureau of the FCC has gone unanswered; I suggested that the FCC levy fines of $1 per customer per month. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but there are 700,000 households affected in 22 markets.

The principle of the two companies ignoring a reponsibility to the public is what bothers me about the dispute, but I really don’t miss WLOS all that much. I don’t miss the news at all; it always seemed like an affirmative action program for pinheads.
