Here’s the note from loyal reader Nicole:

Hello,

My name is Nicole Townsend, I am a 22 year old poet and up and coming film maker here in Asheville, NC. I am currently working on my first film titled “color ME brown: conversations with unmuted voices.” The film is in production and is to be viewed on Saturday, September 1st of this year, at the ACT. color ME brown focuses on both the Black and Latino communities. The main question is “How does it feel to be brown?”. In this film I hope to explore the sense of being brown, sexuality in the brown community, brown businesses, community, and the past.
