Dean: Make Magazine published an article a while back detailing how to convert motorcycles to electric power. It requires a little more technical wizardry than I possess (and having access to a garage would be a good thing), but you can build one for way less than $11K.
Not gone yet, but Weaverville’s losing another business: The Garden Station on the corner of Main Street and Merrimon Avenue.
I’m a motorcyclist. Have been since my teens, and I’m nearing codger.
I always wondered about the E-Scooter set up. It’s a good idea, just a couple years too early. Battery scooters are still too short ranged and slow to be viable.
But that will change. Motorcycles are going electric. I’m looking at a few that will go 120 miles without recharge, do up to 70mph, and is completely street legal. $11k is a little steep, but hey, it’s something to dream about!
Sign in front of E-Scooter shop says they moved. Didn’t catch the new address, though.
Purl’s Yarn Emporium, formerly on College, moved over the summer to Wall St.
Sorry to hear about E-Scooter.
